Breast Cancer Awareness: Pretty in Pink

On Sunday, I wore pink in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness.  It’s something that my church does every year. I try my best to wear as much pink as often I can in October because so many women are affected by breast cancer. In my last post, I wore a pink blazer. For those women who are fighting every day to beat breast cancer, keep up the good fight.

I’ve had this floral dress for about a year.  And for those of you who follow my blog, you know I have this slight obsession with floral prints now.   I really like this dress and I wear it often.  I love how the dress flows and how it fits.  It was a bit chilly Sunday, so I wore some black tights from Dress Barn (on sale for $1). My dress was from a small business store ($11.99).

Palm Tree Inspiration

Hello everyone!

I am finally home from a brief vacation and celebration for my sister’s graduation from graduate school.  I wanted to share one of my favorite looks from my vacation.  I found this chiffon beach dress a few months ago on (click here for details).  I got the dress for $19.99 with free shipping.  The dress is sheer so I wore a strapless dress underneath that I got from TJ Maxx a while back.   I really like this dress because of the tropical print and the way it flows.  I chose to wear gold flat sandals from Rainbow.  This dress is great for special events.

I also had my hair in a crochet protective style because I planned on going to the beach and I wanted something low maintenance for styling.  Feel free to let me know what you think and thanks for reading!

Natural Hair: Curly Twistout

Hello Lovelies!

I wanted to share a go-to hairstyle that I use quite frequently on my hair.  It’s the curly twistout.  I simply twist my hair into two strand twist then roll my hair with these wave rod rollers (pictured below).

I keep the rods in over night.  I really like the body and curls that my hair have if my hair is completely dry.

I have a few pics of my hair at different times.

Closet Chic: Bohemian Flair

Hello lovelies!

wpid-1431040780659.jpgI wanted to post this look on yesterday, and didn’t get a chance to finish the post.  I love the warm weather months because I can channel my bohemian style.  I like wearing flowing garments and earth tones.  I have always been into different prints.  I would have to say floral prints are starting be my favorite prints. I found this sheer floral print kimono cardigan (Burkes Outlet, $12.99) last weekend and I’ve worn it a few times already.  I chose a white t-shirt and dark turquoise skinny jeans to go with this look.  It’s very simple.  I wore simple white crystal studs and a gold flower ring (both of the jewelry pieces are from Old Navy for $1.99 each).  I also wore a chained statement necklace.

Closet Chic: Casual in Gray, Black, and White

What’s up beautiful people?

It’s Friday and I’m excited about the weekend.  I wanted to share my casual look from yesterday.  I really enjoy making casual styles look fly.  I recently got a  Barbie Perfect tee from Forever 21 and wanted to rock it.   Added some black skinny jeans and my chunky heeled sandal from Just Fab ($14.95).  I found this really cute magazine clutch a few weeks ago. I also wore my super cut square studs.
