I haven’t created a style inspiration in a while. I’m a fan of simplicity and sophistication. I chose simple, solid colored tank dress and blazer. I accessorized this look with floral prints heels with a striped clutch. I love how the two prints add a little flavor to this look. Talk to you soon!
I hope everyone has had a great week. I’ve been busy with working on two research papers and I had to step away and get on the blog. I have been enjoying the color blue lately. I wore this outfit on Sunday for church.
I love this leopard print skirt and I wear it often. I wanted to go for casual, comfort, and style. If you want to dress a solid t-shirt, wear a bold print skirt. I added a belt to my outfit to bring a little more style without over doing it. I also wore leopard print earrings from the blog boutique. My shirt, skirt, and shoes are from Rainbow. My belt is from Cato. I wore my hair in a high puff ponytail.

I hope your day is off to a positive and productive start. I really like my printed jumpsuit from Fashion to Figure. I wear this jumpsuit often because it is so versatile for work and outside of work. It’s super comfy and chic. On Sunday, I wore this jumpsuit with an over-sized cardigan I got from Charlotte Russe plus sizes. I wore my peep-toe booties are from Rue 21. I wore some orange wooden earrings that I got from the World National Hair Show last year. I kept my accessories simple because my jumpsuit is pretty bold due to the color and print.
I’ve been playing around with protective styling my natural hair without using any additional synthetic hair. I flat twisted my hair up into a faux-hawk. I curled and twisted my hair at the top with flexi rods overnight. I untwisted my hair and fluffed it. I’m trying to have a little more fun with my hair.
Thanks for reading and have fun with what you have in your closet!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any personal styles from my closet. It’s been even longer since I did a style post with my sister. On Sunday, Jessica and I wore some thrifted garments mixed with non-thrifted garments.
Here are Jessica’s thrifted pieces:
A thrifted skirt from an estate sale $1.00
earrings were bought from a consignment shop $2
Jessica’s skirt was the statement garment and she accessorized to complement her skirt. I added the the belt to finish the look.
I adore color and yellow is one of my favorite colors. I chose to pair my dress with button down shirt for a bold summer look. I kept my accessories simple with gold and pearls. I chose my leopard prints wedges to add some flair since my dress and shirt are solid colors.
My thrifted piece:
Dress from Goodwill $6

I have really enjoyed seeing floral prints in fashion. Floral prints have had this history of looking old and unflattering. I seen so many beautiful prints that look great for women of all shades and sizes. I wanted to share some floral fashion inspirations.
The first two dresses that I am sharing are from Rue 107 (rue107.com). This company caters to women with curves and smaller sizes.
The next two floral looks are from Monif C Plus Size Fashion (monifc.com).
Here’s some fashion inspiration from Forever 21 Plus (forever21.com).
