Breast Cancer Awareness: Pretty in Pink

On Sunday, I wore pink in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness.  It’s something that my church does every year. I try my best to wear as much pink as often I can in October because so many women are affected by breast cancer. In my last post, I wore a pink blazer. For those women who are fighting every day to beat breast cancer, keep up the good fight.

I’ve had this floral dress for about a year.  And for those of you who follow my blog, you know I have this slight obsession with floral prints now.   I really like this dress and I wear it often.  I love how the dress flows and how it fits.  It was a bit chilly Sunday, so I wore some black tights from Dress Barn (on sale for $1). My dress was from a small business store ($11.99).

Closet Chic: Casually Chic Saturday

Happy Monday my beautiful people!

I wanted to share my look from Saturday.  Saturday was a pretty chill, but fun day for me.  My sister and I got a chance to get massages, eat out, and shop a little.  I initially wanted to wear some jeans and a t-shirt but I don’t like wearing jeans too much in the summer because it hot.

I wore a tank, red skirt, and a scarf kimono.  The kimono is fairly new.  I got it from Rainbow for $4.99.  I wanted to look chic without having to put too much thought into my look that day.  I wore my faux Prada sunglasses, a red and gold necklace, and a spiral bracelet.  I wore some African inspired sandals that I adore that can easily be dressed up or down. I felt really chic.

By the way, I crocheted my hair again and I shaped it into a bob again.

Thanks for reading!   Feel free to let me know what you think:-)

Have a awesomely productive week!

What’s up beautiful people?

It’s Friday and I’m excited about the weekend.  I wanted to share my casual look from yesterday.  I really enjoy making casual styles look fly.  I recently got a  Barbie Perfect tee from Forever 21 and wanted to rock it.   Added some black skinny jeans and my chunky heeled sandal from Just Fab ($14.95).  I found this really cute magazine clutch a few weeks ago. I also wore my super cut square studs.

Closet Chic: Color Blocking

Hey Ladies and Gents!

The weather has been beautiful which means that means it’s time to bring out my warm weather clothes.  I decided to do some color blocking with some clothes in the closet.  Some of us actually color block and don’t even know it.  The term color blocking is a term in fashion that involves wearing solid color clothing to create an overall look.  I chose a yellow t-shirt, a royal blue hi-low skirt, and my coral shoes.  I  added some yellow and blue floral print earrings with my overall look.
