I wanted to post this look on yesterday, and didn’t get a chance to finish the post. I love the warm weather months because I can channel my bohemian style. I like wearing flowing garments and earth tones. I have always been into different prints. I would have to say floral prints are starting be my favorite prints. I found this sheer floral print kimono cardigan (Burkes Outlet, $12.99) last weekend and I’ve worn it a few times already. I chose a white t-shirt and dark turquoise skinny jeans to go with this look. It’s very simple. I wore simple white crystal studs and a gold flower ring (both of the jewelry pieces are from Old Navy for $1.99 each). I also wore a chained statement necklace.
It’s been a while since I have done a post about smoothies. I recently did a hug smoothie using a large blender. I was able to make about 4-5 smoothies out of that batch. I froze them until I got ready to drink them.
Here’s what I used: kale, cantaloupe, pine apples, and blue berries, and 2-3 tablespoons of flaxseeds. I froze all of fruit before blending. I used apple juice to blend everything. This smoothie had a lighter taste because I didn’t add bananas to them. I could really taste the cantaloupe and pineapples. It was very tasty. I had this smoothie right before bed and when I had to stay up late doing school work for added energy and extra nourishment.
Here’s look I wore on last week. It’s cute, casual, and chic. I made this skirt from some really cool fabric with sneakers on it.
I styled my look with a simple princess t-shirt and red sneakers. I also work a red beaded bracelet and my spiral earrings. I wore my favorite red L.A. Color lipsticks called Cherry Red. I also wore a high bun to finish my casual look.
I am super excited about sharing my first garment from Monif C Contemporary Plus Size Clothing. For those of you who have followed my blog I have featured some of Monif C’s fashion on the blog. The dress I am wearing is called Elizabeth. I got Elizabeth back in November on sale with a promotional discount which totaled right at $40 (original price $128). Her clothing is more on the pricier end for what I’m used to paying, but the quality of the dress is amazing.
Here’s the model picture:
I didn’t wear the belt and chose to use a scarf instead. My shoes are from Just Fab and I got my scarf ($10) from a street vendor in French Quarters in New Orleans.
