Happy Monday my beautiful people!
I wanted to share my look from Saturday. Saturday was a pretty chill, but fun day for me. My sister and I got a chance to get massages, eat out, and shop a little. I initially wanted to wear some jeans and a t-shirt but I don’t like wearing jeans too much in the summer because it hot.
I wore a tank, red skirt, and a scarf kimono. The kimono is fairly new. I got it from Rainbow for $4.99. I wanted to look chic without having to put too much thought into my look that day. I wore my faux Prada sunglasses, a red and gold necklace, and a spiral bracelet. I wore some African inspired sandals that I adore that can easily be dressed up or down. I felt really chic.
By the way, I crocheted my hair again and I shaped it into a bob again.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to let me know what you think:-)
Have a awesomely productive week!
It’s been over due for a DIY sewing project and I wanted to share a recent project I have done. I’ve been slightly obsessed with kimono cardigans. So one day, it came to me to that I could make a kimono using a caftan. I found this really cute caftan from Ross ($8.99).
It was fairly simple to make. I laid the caftan flat on a table and cut a straight line down the middle.
I then folded and pinned both sides of the fabric where I cut and sewed down the hem of each side.
Here’s the final result.
My tank top ($1.90) and jeans ($9.80) are from Forever 21+. My shoes are from Rue 21 ($6.00).
This kimono has been multifunctional. I have used it as a cover up for swimming and to wear around the house as an alternative to my fleece house coat. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Be on the look out for more of my DIY projects.
I am sharing my sister and my outfits from this past Sunday.
Jessica’s outfit is from Rainbow. I saw this fashion blogger shirt and she got it a few weeks ago. Her booties are from Rue 21.
I went for a more casual look. My fringe kimono cardigan is from Charlotte Russe Plus. My tee is from a vendor I got a few years ago from the Sisterhood Showcase in Memphis. My skinny jeans are from Walmart. My shoes are from Just Fab.

Hello Beautiful People!
I wanted to share my outfit from yesterday. In my last Closest Chic post, I wore this same kimono cardigan. I wanted go for something that didn’t require a lot of work and is super chic. I chose black leggings and a black tank top. I wore my turban to add a little flair. I also wore black sunglasses and a black and gold purse. It was very easy, effortless outfit to create.
I wanted to post this look on yesterday, and didn’t get a chance to finish the post. I love the warm weather months because I can channel my bohemian style. I like wearing flowing garments and earth tones. I have always been into different prints. I would have to say floral prints are starting be my favorite prints. I found this sheer floral print kimono cardigan (Burkes Outlet, $12.99) last weekend and I’ve worn it a few times already. I chose a white t-shirt and dark turquoise skinny jeans to go with this look. It’s very simple. I wore simple white crystal studs and a gold flower ring (both of the jewelry pieces are from Old Navy for $1.99 each). I also wore a chained statement necklace.
