Back in February, I got a random email from WordPress about checking out a resource called Blogging University. I am glad that I read it and didn’t delete it. Blogging U. has several classes that bloggers can take to enhance your blogging experience. I took the Photo 101 course and the Commenting Bootcamp. What happens is once you sign up for a course you get email reminders of what to do. It’s April already and I’m just getting started with my March challenges. Here is the link to Blogging U. if you’re interested.
So today, I will be posting Day One of Photo 101 titled “Home”. I chose to these two pictures. The first picture is a corner in my living room. For those of you who follow me, you know I love color. Over the last holiday, I painted my living room blue and yellow. At home, I let the free-spirited part of me out. The second picture is part of the fence to my backyard.
As you can see, I literally live in color. I would love to know what home means to you!
I look forward to sharing more photos with you all!
While searching Pintrest for do it yourself (DIY) project ideas, I happened upon this simple handmade flower arts and crafts projects. It’s really simple to complete and the finished product is beautiful. I’ve listed the materials I used for this project below along with pictures:
Empty toilet tissue or paper towel rolls
First, paint the paper roll whatever color you choose. You also may leave it as is. Once you’ve paint all of the paper rolls you need let them air dry. Before cutting the roll, flatten it.
Then, cut the paper roll into 5 or 6 equal sections, depending on your preference.
Using the glue gun, start gluing together each of the cut out pieces of paper roll one at a time until you have completed the flower.
You may chooe to glue 5 or 6 paper roll pieces together. As you glue each paper roll section together, apply a paperclip to the glued sections until the glue dries.
Be sure to remove the paperclips before hanging the final project on the wall.
What’s up beautiful people? I have started a new hobby. I have been restoring furniture pieces over the past few months. I had this old interesting looking bookshelf/desk that was left in my home when I bought it a few years ago.
I decided not to get rid of it and incorporate it into my home decor. All I used was spray paint to change the bookshelf/desk and the knobs and it looks brand new.
