What’s up beautiful people?

It’s Friday and I’m excited about the weekend.  I wanted to share my casual look from yesterday.  I really enjoy making casual styles look fly.  I recently got a  Barbie Perfect tee from Forever 21 and wanted to rock it.   Added some black skinny jeans and my chunky heeled sandal from Just Fab ($14.95).  I found this really cute magazine clutch a few weeks ago. I also wore my super cut square studs.

Closet Chic: Elegant In Elizabeth

wpid-wp-1428415750465.jpeg

I am super excited about sharing my first garment from Monif C Contemporary Plus Size Clothing.  For those of you who have followed my blog I have featured some of Monif C’s fashion on the blog.  The dress I am wearing is called Elizabeth.  I got Elizabeth back in November on sale with a promotional discount which totaled right at $40 (original price $128).  Her clothing is more on the pricier end for what I’m used to paying, but the quality of the dress is amazing.

Here’s the model picture:

I didn’t wear the belt and chose to use a scarf instead. My shoes are from Just Fab and I got my scarf ($10) from a street vendor in French Quarters in New Orleans.

One Dress Two Different Outfits

I created two different looks using this dress.  I wanted give an example of how you can create different looks using a dress.

The first look is casual but trendy with a trench coat, flat boot, simple stud earrings, and a colorful handbag.  This look is great for a  lunch date or just going out.

The second look is dressier than the first look.  The dress is paired with a dressy peplum-styled jacket.  I chose black and gold zipper accented peep-toe booties and and a black and gold studded handbag with some earrings.  This look is great for dressier event or dinner date.

Style Inspiration: Working Woman

image

What’s up everyone?  I wanted to share this look I created.  This is something I would wear to work.  It’s a twist to business casual.  I rarely wear heels to work (I rarely wear heels anymore…smh) because of comfort and my constant moving around.  I invested in some cute flats that I can wear at work or just for day-to-day wear.  I normally wear earrings and bracelets all the time and rings often.  I think this look is fun and colorful.  When I’m interacting with people, I tend to wear colors because I noticed that it brightens moods and channels good energy.

Style Inspiration: Houndstooth and Color

image

Hello again peeps!  I really love me some houndstooth.  My look from yesterday’s Style Inspiration had some houndstooth.  Today’s Style Inspiration involves a houndstooth peplum top, yellow skinny jeans, blue heels and accessories.  This look is simple for a date or a night out. I chose printed earrings because of the colors and I used them to coordinate the colors of the pants, shoes, and purse.  It’s all about playing with colors and prints.  Have fun with your clothes!
